Community Manager

Manta Network English & Italian Community Manager

My name is Paolo (Paul in English) Montecchiani, I’m based in Italy, and I bring almost four years of experience in the crypto/Web3 space combined with over eight years in customer service, customer support, and customer-facing commercial roles.

Throughout my career, I’ve consistently worked at the intersection of users, products, and business outcomes. In Web3, I’ve supported global communities, enterprise users, and partners in fast-paced, remote-first environments, while ensuring a high standard of communication, clarity, and retention-focused support.

I am an entrepreneur and currently run my own company in the health services sector, where I am responsible for customer experience, operations, financial oversight, and marketing strategy. This hands-on business ownership has strengthened my ability to think in terms of revenue, customer lifetime value, prioritization, and long-term relationships—key aspects of senior Customer Success roles.

In parallel, I have held several community-facing and customer success–adjacent roles in crypto:

- AMA Moderator and Community Admin for Satoshi Club, supporting both emerging and established blockchain projects. In this role, I moderated live AMAs, coordinated with project teams, and contributed written research content published across Telegram, blogs, Reddit, and Publish0x.

- Appointed **Ambassador Regional Commander for the Italian market at Manta Network / Calamari Network (Polkadot/Kusama ecosystem), where I coordinated local ambassador efforts, supported community growth, handled escalations, and acted as a liaison between users and the core team.

I also have a strong content and communication background. I’ve been a content writer well before entering the crypto space and currently write (and have written extensively) for the Atomic Wallet Blog, where I was featured in the Academy section:

This experience allows me to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language—an essential skill for onboarding, enablement, and customer advocacy.

Additionally, I have experience in visual communication and tooling: I spent one year working as a graphic designer for an advertising firm, producing short-form video ads and visual assets using Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I also have a technical background, including a Unity Certified User: Programmer** certification, basic experience with Maya, and familiarity with development workflows—useful when collaborating with product and engineering teams. I’ve also been a freelance programmer for the last 4 years, and have been programming languages, libraries and frameworks such as C#, Rust, Javascript, React, Foundry, Solidity.

From an academic standpoint, I hold a Master’s Degree in Business and Management (110/110), with a strong focus on economics, finance, and decision-making processes. I am a native Italian speaker, fluent in English (Cambridge C1), with working knowledge of French (B1) and Spanish.

I have been selected and been part of 2 cohorts of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy: Singapore (remote) and Luzern (in place), successfully graduating from both of them.

I am highly comfortable working remotely, across time zones, and with international stakeholders. I thrive in roles where I can combine customer advocacy, operational thinking, and business impact—making the Senior Customer Success Manager position a natural next step.

I’ve attached my CV for your review. If you believe there could be a mutual fit, I would be very interested in discussing how I could contribute to your Customer Success & Operations team.

Kind regards,

Paolo Montecchiani

Experience

Sales, Customer & Tech Support
Ima srl
2006 - 2017
I assisted and interacted with the firm's customers as well as suppliers and sales agents. I handled the orders cycle, upstream (from the customer) and downstream (as the order left the firm's warehouse). I provided the needed first line of support and assistance with technical help when queries didn't necessarily require to be escalated to the technical departments.
Translator (Internship)
ARISTON THERMO S.P.A.
2005 - 2005
My job was to translate technical documents from Italian to English then relay the translated documents to the technical department.
