Built and maintained production backend systems for the Gear/Vara blockchain ecosystem — spanning REST and GraphQL APIs, data indexing pipelines, cross-chain bridge infrastructure, event-driven architectures, and developer-facing TypeScript and Rust libraries — working across the full backend lifecycle from design to deployment. Sole author and maintainer of @gear-js/api and sails-js — core TypeScript libraries for the Vara blockchain with ~1,800 weekly downloads at peak adoption. Designed and built Gear Idea backend: on-chain data indexer, REST explorer API, program metadata storage, and token faucet service. Implemented Coinbase Rosetta API integration, enabling Coinbase to connect to Gear protocol for transaction submission and history. Led development of a bidirectional Vara–Ethereum bridge: multi-node architecture with RabbitMQ-based role rotation and threshold signature consensus (66% of active validators required per batch). Mentored and coordinated a team of 4–5 engineers across multiple projects. Contributed to Rust-based tooling (sails, sails-program-verifier).
