Owned the swap flow end to end across three codebases: the backend API, the shared client SDK and UI, and the mobile app, serving the mobile, desktop and browser wallets. Built a cross-platform swap library that removed duplicated wallet UI and reduced quote-refresh flicker, using a headless UI architecture with Jotai so mobile, desktop and browser share one implementation. Reduced failed swaps by building a circuit breaker that automatically stops routing orders to providers that are failing, with Prometheus and Grafana alerts when failures spike. Set clear reliability targets (SLOs/SLIs) and alerts for the swap service, and reclassified server errors so incidents were faster to diagnose. Added more swap providers and chains by contributing to 26 provider integrations from price quote to execution. Added transaction simulation, signed-response checks and recipient-address verification that block suspicious or failing swaps across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. Optimized the backend by replacing N+1 queries with batched queries, adding indexes to the slowest queries, sharing a database connection pool and fixing memory leaks from buffering large API responses. Built an internal AI assistant on the Mastra framework, with a streaming chat interface, that helps support engineers investigate failed and high-slippage orders, and designed it to expose the same data to partners through an MCP service.

Designed the architecture of a Web3 mobile wallet using domain-driven design and SOLID principles. Built cryptographic signing for React Native as a Turbo Native Module in Rust, running in an isolated process with Secure Enclave key storage. Added Ledger hardware-wallet support. Developed and maintained the open-source cryptocurrency wallet Daedalus. Built reusable UI component libraries for the open-source wallet Lace and for mobile. Set up a CI/CD pipeline with GitHub Actions for builds, tests and releases. Defined the testing strategy across unit, integration and UI levels.

Introduced CI/CD, configuring the pipeline to run tests, linting and Google Cloud deployments. Split a frontend monolith into Lerna-managed packages, which let the team adopt TypeScript and GraphQL. Added Storybook visual regression tests for shared UI components. Built the first shared component-library patterns using React Context. Created team wikis and a Slack channel to document frontend decisions.

Designed and built JavaScript SDK APIs for checkout payments, including a PCI-compliant credit-card form SDK. Cut page load time by introducing cache control and HTTP/2 across checkout services. Set up on-premise Sentry so teams could see production errors. Built a backend API serving checkout-flow metadata. Fixed a cross-domain issue in React core.

Built a single-page marketplace app connecting local farmers and buyers. Ran a two-day React workshop and interviewed candidates for front-end roles.
