 I started in 2008 as a graphic designer, figuring out layout, typography, and visual hierarchy. Over time, that naturally evolved into UI/UX design. Because I wanted to know how my designs actually come to life, I taught myself front-end development (React, Next.js, Tailwind). 

 I'm a designer first, but knowing how to code makes my designs better. 

Today, I am very much a designer first. But knowing how to code means I design practical, production-ready interfaces and can talk the same language as the engineering team.
