About the position

As our Legal Counsel, you will be based in Tallinn in addition to the existing core Legal team in Luxembourg. The position is crucial in supporting our executive leadership along with other team members to achieve our ultimate goal of making financial markets accessible to everyone. Here are some of the tasks and challenges you will tackle:

• Accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, partnerships, international ventures, corporate finance, etc.);
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on potential legal issues;
• Drafting, review and negotiation of in-house legal documentation;
• Assistance in the organisation of corporate events such as board and general meetings;
• Assistance in the drafting of resolutions and minutes;
• Supporting the management of the relationship with financial regulatory authorities;
• Supporting the maintenance of the exchange terms and conditions;
• Liaising with notaries and international law firms;
• Liaising with other external parties like FIU, auditors, etc.;
• Assistance on compliance GDPR related matters if and as required;
• Further developing and documenting in-house legal processes and procedures;
• Contributing to various company projects as required

Main requirements

• Law Master’s Degree;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the legal field in Estonia and/or internationally ;
• Fluency in English and Estonian (other languages considered an asset);
• Previous experience in FinTech sector in Estonia;
• Experience in regulatory matters related to crypto-assets is a strong advantage;
• Understanding of and experience in risk identification and mitigation;
• Excellent drafting skills;
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Organisational skills and attention to details;
• Proactive team player with the ability to work independently;
• Team spirit and ability to work across diverse organisations and teams.

A core understanding of crypto-currency and blockchain technology is an advantage, as is prior experience in FinTech.
