Vice President of Finance
Company: BlockchAIn Digital Infrastructure, Inc. (NYSE: AIB)
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Location: Remote
Compensation: 150-200k + Bonus
Why This Seat Is Worth Your Next Decade
We are building the picks and shovels of the next computing era — the digital infrastructure that powers blockchain networks and the AI compute revolution. As a newly public company (NYSE: AIB) fresh off a reverse takeover, we have the rare combination of a public-market platform, a wide-open growth runway, and a finance function that is being built — not maintained.
That is where you come in.
We are looking for a VP of Finance to sit shoulder-to-shoulder with our CFO and be the operational engine behind everything that hits an SEC filing, a board deck, a term sheet, or an investor's inbox.
Key Responsibilities
- The numbers people will trust their capital to —Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across both AIB and BV Power Alpha LLC. Own the consolidation, the intercompany work, the technical accounting memos, and the audit. When the numbers go out, they go out clean.
- SEC reporting that doesn't make the lawyers wince —Drive 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K preparation end to end. Partner with external auditors, counsel, and the audit committee. Build out our SOX framework as we scale into accelerated filer territory.
- The financial models behind every transaction—We are an active capital markets issuer. You will build and stress-test the models behind ATM offerings, PIPEs, convertible notes, registered direct offerings, and whatever new structure shows up next Tuesday. Dilution analysis, exchange-cap modeling, effective cost of capital, scenario decks for the board — that is your canvas.
- FP&A that actually drives decisions —Own the operating budget, the rolling forecast, and the variance story. Build the models that decide where the next dollar of capex goes — whether that is more hash, more GPU, or more megawatts under contract through BV Power Alpha.
- The investor-facing finance function —Partner with the CFO on earnings prep, investor decks, sell-side analyst models, and the diligence rooms that follow every capital raise. Translate the numbers into a story that wins capital.
- A finance team you build —Recruit, mentor, and develop the controllers, senior analysts, and managers who will sit under you. Set the bar. We are not hiring this seat to do everything alone — we are hiring it to build the team that does.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally with a Big 4 audit foundation and time in a public-company finance org.
- CPA + MBA strongly preferred. If you don't have one, you'd better have a very good reason and a very strong technical accounting brain.
- SEC reporting battle scars. You have personally driven 10-Ks and 10-Qs to filing, and you know your way around XBRL, EDGAR, and a tired controller at 11pm on a quiet-period weekend.
- Capital markets fluency. You can model a convertible note with a make-whole, explain why a Rule 312 exchange cap matters, and tell the difference between a placement agent fee schedule that's fair and one that's just expensive.
- Modeling chops. Excel is your native language. Three-statement models, dilution waterfalls, sensitivity tables, and scenario decks are muscle memory.
- Operator instincts. You read a contract before you sign it. You ask the second question. You like building the playbook, not just running it.
Bonus points for any of:
- Experience in digital asset / crypto / mining accounting (ASC 350-60)
- Data center, hyperscaler, or power infrastructure finance background
- Newly public / post-deSPAC / post-RTO experience — you've lived through the integration sprint and know where the bodies are buried
- Treasury and FX experience across U.S. and international entities
What You'll Get
- A real public-company resume line at a company that is still small enough that what you build will be visible from orbit.
- Direct mentorship from the CFO and a front-row seat to every capital markets conversation we have.
- Equity that is meaningful, not symbolic. We win together.
- Competitive base + bonus calibrated to seniority and impact.
- The chance to build a finance function rather than babysit one — your stamp, your standards, your team.
