About the Team:

The US Legal team provides legal guidance to Okcoin across all operating areas and supports business growth by working with other business teams within the company to help them execute their goals.

About the Opportunity:

This is an essential role at one of the fastest-growing global cryptocurrency exchanges based in SF-SOMA (with stunning views of the Bay Bridge). The Legal Operations Analyst will report to the U.S. General Counsel as a key part of the US Legal team.

The right candidate will have prior experience working with a variety of internal stakeholders and various business teams providing general legal support to a diverse and global organization. They should also have strong interpersonal skills and ideally an interest in the cryptocurrency and fintech industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design, develop, and implement legal processes, internal guidelines, and playbooks to drive efficiencies and help the team build for scale
• Submit invoices for payment in our internal systems and track spending
• Research and procure new legal technology tools to automate and improve processes
• Maintain organization of contracts and various legal documents
• Manage intake of requests to legal team and update trackers
• Provide day-to-day legal support for various operational and administrative matters
• Coordinate as needed with members of the broader non-U.S. Legal and Compliance teams
• Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment

What We Look For In You:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• 2-5 years of law firm and/or in-house paralegal or legal operations experience
• Ability to assist in the development of various legal processes, policies, and playbooks
• Self-starter, quick learner with sense of urgency, collaborative, highly driven and proactive
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and judgment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-stage and multi-cultural environment

Nice to Haves:

• Previous in-house experience at a fintech company’s legal department or financial services firm’s law department desirable
• Professional/personal experience and enthusiasm for cryptocurrencies / blockchain
• Experience working on cross-jurisdictional matters and a global legal team
