About Loop

Loop is a New York–based company working at the intersection of brands and the people they serve. Since 2016 we have built our business on direct, transparent relationships between companies and their customers. We are now establishing a corporate digital asset function, and we are hiring the person who will lead it.

About the role

We are looking for a Crypto Asset Manager to build and run Loop's corporate digital asset operations from the ground up.

This is a corporate treasury role, not a client-facing one. You will manage Loop's own balance sheet assets only β€” we do not manage outside capital and you will not advise external clients or investors. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and own the strategy, custody architecture, controls, and reporting for the entire function.

Because this function does not exist yet, the person we hire will define it: the custody model, the risk limits, the approval workflow, the reporting cadence, and the standards we hold ourselves to. We are looking for someone who treats that as the appealing part of the job.

What you will do

Treasury strategy

  • Define Loop's digital asset allocation policy and present it to the CFO and board for approval
  • Manage the corporate portfolio within approved mandates and risk limits
  • Produce regular performance and exposure reporting for leadership
  • Evaluate yield-generating strategies and recommend only those consistent with our risk tolerance

Custody and controls

  • Select and implement the custody model, whether qualified custodian, multi-signature self-custody, or a combination
  • Design key management, approval thresholds, and transaction authorization workflows
  • Establish segregation of duties so that no single individual, including yourself, can move assets unilaterally
  • Maintain a full transaction audit trail and reconcile holdings on a defined schedule

Compliance and reporting

  • Keep Loop's digital asset activity compliant with applicable federal and state requirements
  • Work with our external accountants on cost basis tracking, tax treatment, and year-end reporting
  • Maintain written policies and procedures for the function
  • Track regulatory developments and advise leadership on their impact

Internal partnership

  • Serve as Loop's internal subject matter expert on digital assets
  • Brief non-technical stakeholders clearly and without jargon
  • Coordinate with outside counsel, tax advisors, and security consultants
  • Document everything to a standard that survives an audit and a change of personnel
What we are looking for

Required:

  • Five or more years of professional experience in digital assets, in a treasury, portfolio management, or institutional trading capacity
  • Direct responsibility for a meaningful portfolio, whether corporate, fund, or institutional
  • Working knowledge of Bitcoin and Ethereum at a technical level, including the practical consequences of their differences
  • Hands-on experience with institutional custody solutions and multi-signature architectures
  • Familiarity with the US regulatory and tax treatment of digital assets
  • The judgment to say no to a strategy that looks attractive but does not fit the mandate

Helpful but not required:

  • Background in traditional treasury, asset management, or audit before moving into digital assets
  • Experience standing up a new function rather than inheriting one
  • Practical DeFi experience, including the failure modes
  • CFA, CPA, or a comparable credential
Compensation and benefits
  • Base salary: $172,500 per year
  • Performance bonus tied to defined objectives, not to short-term portfolio moves
  • Comprehensive health insurance: medical, dental, and vision, employer-funded
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Fully remote within the United States, with no relocation or office requirement
  • Annual budget for training, certifications, and conferences
  • Paid time off
Working at Loop

This is a remote role and we mean it. There is no hybrid expectation and no core-hours policy beyond reasonable overlap with US business hours. We do expect the discipline that remote work in a controls-heavy function requires: written documentation, predictable availability for approvals, and proactive communication.

How to apply

Apply through LinkedIn with your resume and a short note covering two things: the largest digital asset portfolio you have been directly responsible for, and the custody model you would propose for a corporate treasury of this type.

Given the nature of the role, finalists will be asked to complete a background check and reference verification before an offer is extended.

  • Loop is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.
