Vondran Legal® also represents clients in IPTV and illegal interception of pay-per-view and licensed programming (typically brought by Dish-Nagrastar, MPAA or ACE Alliance), BitTorrent file sharing litigation, and emerging technologies such as metaverse, blockchain, AI and crypto disputes. The firm’s entertainment practice includes fair use opinion letters, public domain research, rights clearance, social media influencer agreements, and talent and model contract review and counseling.


Vondran Legal® has offices in San Francisco, Santa Monica, Newport Beach, San Diego, and Phoenix, Arizona, and serves clients across diverse technology and media sectors. We are admitted to practice in the federal courts of Texas, and New York.


Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Junior IP & Entertainment Litigator. The attorney will assist with all phases of litigation, including factual and legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, and preparing correspondence to clients (including calls with clients and potential clients), opposing counsel, and courts.


Day-to-day work will involve managing case files, reviewing evidence related to software audits, copyright and trademark disputes, BitTorrent and IPTV matters, DMCA YOUTUBE LAW, and entertainment-related claims. The role includes supporting senior attorneys in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation, including drafting outlines, exhibit lists, and witness materials. The Junior Litigator will also help analyze emerging legal issues involving NFTs, blockchain, metaverse, and social media, and provide practical, business-oriented advice to clients. Regular collaboration with attorneys and staff across offices, participation in team meetings, and responsible timekeeping and matter management are essential.


Qualifications


  • Strong foundation in Law, with a focus or demonstrated interest and expereience in intellectual property and entertainment matters.

  • Experience or training in drafting and arguing Motions, including dispositive, discovery, and procedural motions.

  • Familiarity with Courts and litigation procedure, including federal and state rules, electronic filing, and case management.

  • Exposure to or interest in Trials and Depositions, including preparing outlines, exhibits, and assisting with witness preparation.

  • Must have conducted a minimum of 25 depositions

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (California and/or Arizona admission preferred, or willingness to obtain). Must be California barred.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and organization.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team. (must be a responsive team player with executive level input).

  • Prior experience or demonstrable interest in software, technology, social media, copyright, trademark, influencer agreements, California right of publicity law, entertainment or digital content industries is a plus.
