As the AML Manager at Swyftx, you’ll play an essential part in managing and supporting the Swyftx compliance function by developing and executing risk and compliance programs and initiatives, whilst continuously seeking ways to improve Swyftx processes and mitigate potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the AML / CTF subject matter expert, providing AML advice to the business and guidance and mentorship to the AML Compliance Team.
- Lead the AML Compliance Team, assisting them in managing workflows and escalations.
- Ensure the business upholds its AML / CTF compliance obligations via governance, oversight and reporting.
- Assist with maintaining the AML program, including any adjacent policies, training documents and the risk assessment register, as well as conducting quarterly audits on program effectiveness.
- Provide advice in relation to changes in AML / CTF regulations and the impact of those changes on policies, processes and ways of working.
- Work with the Head of Operations to develop strategic initiatives that improve compliance standards, processes, as well as operational effectiveness of the function.
- Work collaboratively with the Fraud Team to help prevent all forms of Financial Crime across the Swyftx platform.
- Maintain and foster a collaborative partnership with external regulators such as AUSTRAC and NZDIA.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation for potential audit discoveries and compliance violations.
To ensure success in this role, you should possess:
- Experience in a management / leadership role in AML Risk and Compliance within theFinance, Banking, Insurance or Cryptocurrency industries.
- AML / CTF certifications and / or memberships.
- Good people leadership capabilities.
- An understanding of cryptocurrency is not essential, but is preferred.
- A strategic mindset with a commercial focus and excellent time management skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
