The Role:

A Payment Processing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day processing, monitoring, reconciliation, and issue resolution of payment transactions. The role ensures that payments are executed accurately, on time, and in compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and partner agreements.

Your Day-to-Day:

Payment Processing & Monitoring:

• Process and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly payment transactions (e.g. SWIFT wire transfers, card payments).

• Monitor payment flows to ensure timely settlement and completion.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve failed, delayed, or rejected transactions.

• Ensure accurate transaction posting and settlement across internal systems.

Reconciliation & Reporting:

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly payment reconciliations.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal records and bank/partner statements.

• Prepare operational and financial reports related to payment performance.

• Support month-end and year-end close activities.

Issue Resolution & Support:

• Collaborate with internal teams (Finance team)

• Liaise with banks, payment service providers to resolve operational issues.

• Handle chargebacks, refunds, reversals, and payment adjustments.

Process Improvement:

• Identify inefficiencies or recurring issues in payment processes.

• Propose and support automation or system enhancements.

• Document payment procedures and operational workflows.

• Assist with testing new payment methods, systems, or process changes.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Strong understanding of payment systems and rails (specially international bank transfers).

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven problem-solving skills, with a proactive, committed, and innovative mindset; ability to perform effectively under pressure; and a strong team player.

• Proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and external partners.

• Intermediate Level English language proficiency.
