Symbiont is hiring a Web3 Engineering Manager
Compensation: $63k - $90k estimated

As we continue to deploy our core platform in production, there is ongoing work to improve scalability, robustness, and to expand the feature set. What You'll Do
Responsible for their team's delivery, the Engineering Manager is in a unique position to understand the dynamic of the team, how it evolves over time with new hires, changes in team structures, and varying degrees of pressure. The EM will manage a dedicated team of passionate engineers working tirelessly to advance blockchain technology.
As an active member of the team they bring a keen technical eye and high EQ which further enhances their positive impact. The EM is the interface between strategy and delivery and will be working with the leadership and product teams as they translate directives to their team into actionable tasks and deliverables. You will ensure your team delivers impactful projects in a high quality manner while staying aligned with Symbiont's goals and focus areas. You will grow your team through significant participation in hiring and personal development of your reports and contribute to a culture of high-reliability delivery.
- Recruit, interview and manage individual contributors for their team.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely execution of requirements.
- Stay deeply involved in the project management process, from github issue to documented and released feature.
- Support engineers in their career development by providing mentorship and clear feedback.
- Assist in the design and administration of training / staff development programs for their team.
- Encourage, facilitate and guide the development of best practices, patterns and procedures.
Requirements
- While we're eager to hire at as many experience levels as we can, at this time we are only hiring managers with several years of experience in leadership or management roles.
- Adaptable and willing to pivot as needed to build the Assembly platform.
- We're a fully distributed company spread over multiple continents. This means a heavy focus on written collaboration and video meetings, with occasional time zone flexibility.

- Basic programming skills in at least one language and experience with modern software development tooling and workflows.
