Web3 Events Lead

Fuel Labs is building the fastest modular execution layer in the world. You will be at the bleeding edge of blockchain scalability, helping to evangelize Fuel and position us effectively in the ecosystem through coordinating and managing external events, including conferences, dinners, and other engagements. You will also be helping the Fuel team foster relationships internally through planning offsites, dinners at conferences, and other opportunities for the team to meet and connect IRL.

Responsibilities

• EXTERNAL:
• Identifying key external events that Fuel should have a presence at (ex. conferences, hackathons).
• Coordinating sponsorships of said external events, including prior logistics like application for sponsorship and on-the-ground coordination of swag delivery and distribution and other day-of detail management.
• Ensuring internal coordination around external events, including (but not limited to) recommendations on who from Fuel should attend for maximum impact, ensuring alignment around messaging and goals of attendees, etc.
• Working with other projects to co-host events and liaising directly with their teams on venue, agenda, budget, etc.
• INTERNAL:
• Planning team and project-wide offsites, including working with 3rd party vendors where applicable.
• Arranging team get-togethers on a smaller scale when the opportunity arises (eg. team dinners at conferences).
• Proposing new ideas around ways for the Fuel team to come together and build relationships, either IRL or virtually.

Ideal Background

• 4+ years of event management experience, either in-house or part of an agency
• Strong communication skills with the necessary polish to be an external liaison and face of Fuel with vendors, projects, and other external parties
• Strong detail orientation and project management skills
• Prior experience working remotely in a globally distributed team
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Desire to learn and ability to be hands-on
• "No job is too small" mentality
• Aptitude for fostering connections amongst people
• Familiarity/interest with the blockchain ecosystem
• Bonus: background in philosophy
