What exactly you’ll work on at Public will depend on the Legal Team’s needs next summer, but you can expect to work on the following:

  • Research and Compliance: Public operates within a highly-regulated space, and those regulations evolve frequently and impact all aspects of the Public investing platform and the services we provide our users. You will help us untangle complex compliance issues, reviewing and synthesizing the law and translating those legal requirements into operational guidelines for the business teams at Public.

  • Marketing and Product: All new marketing materials and product features that touch on the securities investing side of our business must be approved by an appropriately-licensed member of our Compliance Team. You’ll help us create guidance for Marketing and Product so that they can understand and navigate applicable regulations, and obtain quick approvals by the time the final product is formally submitted to Compliance.
