We are looking for a motivated Strong Junior PHP Developer to join our Platform Team (Payment Gateway Service).
You will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment where we develop and maintain services responsible for seamless and secure interactions with multiple payment providers.
As a Junior Developer, you will work alongside experienced engineers to build, integrate and support payment solutions that power our core products.
This is a great opportunity to learn about fintech systems, payment flows and scalable backend development.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, test and maintain the PHP-based Payment Gateway Service that interacts with external payment provider APIs.
Assist in integrating new payment providers into the system.
Monitor and troubleshoot payment-related issues and transactions.
Collaborate with senior developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists and product/integration managers to deliver high-quality features.
Write clean, maintainable and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes.
Solid knowledge of PHP (preferably version 7.4 or higher).
1+ year of experience developing with the Symfony framework and Doctrine ORM.
Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols and JSON.
Familiarity with OOP principles and MVC frameworks (e.g. Symfony; Laravel is a plus).
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Good understanding of relational databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
Willingness to learn and work in a domain-heavy area such as payments and financial services.
Intermediate English (reading, writing and speaking).
Nice to Have
Experience working with payment providers, online transactions or financial systems.
Hands-on experience with microservices and Apache Thrift/gRPC.
Basic understanding of Docker or containerized environments (e.g. Kubernetes).
Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Sentry, Jaeger or Kibana dashboards.
Experience with unit testing, Behat and debugging practices.
