🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

Implementing, configuring, and optimizing SolarWinds monitoring solutions across diverse IT environments (on-premise, hybrid, and cloud) to ensure seamless visibility and system performance.

Designing scalable monitoring strategies using tools like NPM, SAM, NTA, and the Orion Platform to provide proactive alerting and infrastructure insights.

Applying observability architecture best practices, focusing on performance, reliability, and maintainability to enhance operational excellence.

Creating custom dashboards, reports, and alert configurations tailored to specific client requirements and SLAs.

Integrating SolarWinds with third-party tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, and PagerDuty via APIs and scripting (PowerShell, Python).

Collaborating closely with IT, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure full-stack monitoring coverage.

Supporting client teams through training, documentation, and troubleshooting, acting as a trusted subject-matter expert.

✅ What You Need to Succeed Must-haves

4–5 years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining SolarWinds monitoring environments.

Deep knowledge of SolarWinds Orion Platform modules: NPM, SAM, NTA, IPAM, and Alerting Engine.

Proficiency with monitoring protocols: SNMP, WMI, NetFlow, Syslog.

Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Solid understanding of networking, system administration, and application performance metrics.

Comfortable working with Windows Server and Linux, including remote diagnostics and performance tuning.

Familiarity with SQL Server and building queries for custom reporting.

Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

Experience integrating monitoring solutions with ITSM platforms and observability pipelines.

Prior consulting or client-facing experience in enterprise IT environments.

Knowledge of performance baselining and capacity planning strategies.

Exposure to automation frameworks or CI/CD integrations within observability stacks.
