At Actuate, we make the world safer by turning any camera into a smart camera.
We help organizations manage the transition from traditional burglar alarms and human guards to smart AI-powered security.
Our software-only AI analyzes data from existing security cameras in real-time to detect threats such as weapons, intruders, crowds, and where people travel in any environment. The system acts as an end-to-end security camera management system that enables onboarding and management of cameras as well as instant alerts and analytics that allow organizations to pinpoint problems without collecting any personally identifiable information.
We are seeking an experienced VP of Revenue to join us in our mission, with a focus on strategic planning, product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships. Together with other members of the leadership team, you will execute the current corporate strategic plan, focusing on expansion to new customer segments and partnerships, while ultimately strengthening operations. You will also be instrumental in creating future strategic plans with the goal of boosting revenue streams.
Role Objectives:

  • Collaborate with leadership team to develop and execute on overall corporate strategy
  • Ensure performance, strategy, and alignment of the organization’s revenue-generating departments
  • Collaborate with VP of Sales and Head of Marketing to drive business growth across all customer segments and profiles, and share accountability with the marketing function for improving the individual customer experience and strategy
  • Help maximize reach and efficiency by adding new, scalable partners in a strategic way
  • Build and foster creative teams committed to continuing our culture of innovation
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the marketplace and analyze opportunities, providing competitive analysis, strategies, and tactics
  • Stay well-connected with customers to ensure market needs are being incorporated into the product development and enhancement cycle
  • Collaborate with finance, product management, and marketing on messaging, pricing strategies, and business models to achieve revenue goals
  • Identify and resolve issues across the marketing/sales and account management functions
  • Participate in contract negotiations

Requirements:
  • Experience in a senior Revenue or Growth role at a startup
  • 6+ years experience in Sales, Marketing, Demand Generation, Growth, or similar
  • Experience building and managing teams and organizations
  • Strong interest in AI and startups
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder located in the NYC area

Experience with the following is a plus:
  • Selling to traditional industries such as industrials
  • Exposure to AI and/or Physical Security
