About the Role

Our client is a mobile shopping app (Available on the App Store & Google Play Store) that is quickly scaling their user base. We are hiring their first in-house developer to help manage and grow the existing product. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of something big. Their founder and CEO tested products for one of the world's largest retailers for over 30 years. He owned and operated laboratories all over the world, and saw an opportunity to get valuable feedback directly from consumers.
Qualifications
Candidates must be capable of demonstrating competency in the following:
- Experience scaling Firebase to support a large number of users.
- Experience implementing caching mechanisms (Rest API, Reddis, GraphQL)
- Ability to refactor or move cloud functions in order to stop them from timing out
- Experience with horizontal scaling/sharding solutions
- Must be GCP certified.
