About Us

Brightloom is building on our expertise in data science, machine learning, and personalization to develop a new class of digital products that enable people to discover the most relevant and high-quality, Ownable Digital Assets that Web3 has to offer (including, but not limited to, NFTs). Web3 represents a massive opportunity for brands to expand and enrich loyalty experiences for consumers; and Brightloom is developing solutions that enable our customers to capitalize on this potential.

The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll lead visual and UX design of a brand new search and discovery platform that makes it fast, fun, and simple for collectors to find interesting, quality, and useful Ownable Digital Assets including NFTs. In this role, you will be responsible for leading customer research, concepting, information architecture development, visual and interaction design to create powerful digital experiences. You will get your hands dirty in all aspects of end-to-end experience design including using storyboards, journey maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and and other artifacts that illustrate design concepts and direction. This role requires broad knowledge and advanced skills in visual design, user experience, user interface/interaction, data visualization, and a solid understanding of available client-side technologies.

This is not a support role: you will be hands-on; leading the design strategy and executing user experience designs by collaborating with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers. As the Senior Designer on the team, you should be able to understand business requirements, and consumer demand alike; by utilizing user-centered design processes, systemic thinking, and interaction design principles to create and launch simple, elegant solutions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design strategy and execution of new consumer web/mobile experiences that are intuitive for people new to or experienced with crypto and NFTs across a range of networks including Ethereum and Solana.
  • Plan, prioritize, coordinate user research, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing.
  • Design and specify information architecture, microinteractions, and user interfaces using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, competitive audits, market research, and other forms of requirements discovery.
  • Quickly and iteratively produce personas, ecosystem/conceptual diagrams, customer journey maps, interaction flows, storyboards, wireframes, visual mockups, design annotations, prototypes, or design specifications.
  • Effectively synthesize and communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and through execution.
  • Independently drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements
  • Manage the design process, drive decisions, track issues, and assist in estimating resource needs and schedules in an agile environment.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that design requirements are achieved.
  • Participate as a contributor to a cross functional team that includes other designers, product, engineers, and data scientists
  • Present and tell the story of your designs and rationale to team members, and leadership.
  • Plan and facilitate collaborative work sessions with all levels of the customer organization.

About You:

*Qualified candidates must include an online or PDF portfolio with their application*

  • At least five years of user experience and user-centered design expertise, or equivalent, professional design experience, preferably in the web3 or Blockchain product domain
  • Expertise in systemic thinking and strong knowledge of interaction design principles and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications
  • Experience designing analytics dashboards and data visualizations for enterprise products
  • Able to successfully manage all aspects of a project from start to finish; you must be able to function as a project leader, as well as an individual contributor
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as AdobeCC, Sketch, InVision, Pixate, Figma, and Framer; with an ability and openness to come up to speed with new emerging technologies quickly
  • Knowledge of capabilities and limitations of web / software technologies such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Ability to communicate your ideas to a wide variety of key stakeholders across Engineering, Data Science, and Product
  • Desire to solve problems ranging from big picture strategy, to the fine details
  • Success delivering product/service in a high-growth environment, exhibiting strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous, customer-focused problems
  • Must be self-motivated, a good communicator, comfortable following direction, and able to balance great design with short deadlines

Bonus Points:

  • Exemplifies a passion for Web3
  • Familiarity with the Ethereum Blockchain and/or Web3 applications
  • Shows experience with data visualizations
