Job Title: Senior Smart Contract Engineer
Reports to: Management
Location: Remote
Type of Position: Full time

Position Summary

As a Senior Smart Contract Engineer, you will be responsible for writing, reviewing, and maintaining all parts of the Element Protocol’s smart contract stack.The ideal candidate is proficient in security and has extensive DeFi experience.

Responsibilities

• Write Solidity smart contracts.
• Review smart contracts code for security and efficiency.
• Write and maintain high coverage tests.
• Develop processes to deploy and interact with smart contracts.

Minimum qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of writing solidity smart contracts and working with the Ethereum blockchain.
• Strong experience in managing the full life cycle of smart contracts including design, testing, review, deployment and onchain interaction.
• Deep understanding of the DeFi ecosystem and (prefered) experience building a DeFi protocol.

Preferred qualifications:

• Senior level experience (5+ years) in another programming language or stack.
• Security experience, ideally in the Ethereum ecosystem.
• Understanding of next generation blockchains and L2 solutions.
• Experience working with cross chain/rollup protocol deployment.
• Formal verification, cryptography, and mathematical background.
