About This Role – Blockchain Research Engineer - Custody

Genesis is seeking a Research Engineer, with a passion for blockchains and digital assets. You’ll be working in a small team of dedicated research engineers working both independently and jointly with others. A good portion of your work will be spent identifying difference and similarities in different blockchain protocols.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conducting deep-dive research on various digital asset protocols & blockchains.
• Develop Proof of Concept software projects around the storage of private keys
• Build cloud based blockchain node infrastructure to support team members
• Research various blockchain staking implementations

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field
• Highly interested in blockchain, cryptocurrency and general cryptography
• Passionate about rapid development and working with a fast-paced team.
• Experience and knowledge with blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum etc..) is a plus
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
• Experience in back-end development, algorithms, and data structures
• Knowledge of high-level languages such as Python, Go, Java, Typescript or C#.
• Communicates well and has excellent interpersonal skills
