The Role:
You’re equally comfortable defining new UX patterns and UIs to help our team expand the definition of “interactive" across Horizen Labs. You balance a passion for designing gorgeous and emotionally resonant products with a strong desire to understand user behavior and success through data and insights. When faced with limits and ambiguity, you become more — not less — creative. You love this zone. You bring projects from concept to completion, doing everything possible to ensure their success.
You’re a skilled communicator who welcomes honest, candid feedback, and your first instinct is to collaborate with others to challenge your ideas and make them even better. You partner with a cross-functional team to oversee the experience from conception to launch (and then some).
What You’ll Own
- Initiate, define and lead design of product features from concept through launch and beyond.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to aid:
- Engineering teams in their development
- Sales teams to demo to prospective customers
- Collaborate with prototypers to explore, test, and evolve user experiences for web 3.0 products.
- Own the full-stack design process—from blue sky design exploration to UX specs to >
- Work and collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, Marketing, and other partners to ensure designs are built to your specifications.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience designing product features for consumer products and apps, preferably in data-driven applications.
- Multiple successful product/feature launches that drove meaningful impact to the business.
- A versatile portfolio that showcases interaction and visual design skills; bonus points for any animation skills.
- Ability to quickly produce a great range of UI/UX concepts, as well as go deep to identify edge cases.
- The communication skills to clearly articulate your concepts—and evangelize on their behalf
- Figma, Axure, or InVision experience and working with an established design systems is a plus
