The role in a nutshell
You will form part of the Operations Onboarding team based in Cape Town and Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Head of Customer Onboarding. You will work in a fast paced environment, collaborating with other business units, including Engineering, Product and Compliance teams, servicing the business on an international level together with the teams from South East Asia, Africa and Europe.
The role of the Business Analyst is to understand the customer onboarding business requirements, and through a structured process, modelling, validating and translating it into business requirement specifications that are used by the delivery team(s) to prioritise, size and provide a level of feasibility.
Your mission will involve
- Work on solutions supporting the onboarding operations area, integration points and a large number of affected components
- Gather and interpret requirements from various teams
- Participate in the solution design process
- Prepare the requirements specifications
- Contribute in defining the success criteria for changes and projects within the programme office
- Analyse and improve relevant onboarding business processes
- Performing business analysis and process improvement within assigned solution project
- Provide assistance to solution delivery on implementation and training
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Superior presentation and negotiation skills
- Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail, report writing and documenting outcomes of investigations
- Interpret, prepare and represent complex management information
- The ability to influence and make recommendations confidently with the use of data and analyses, to various stakeholders including the senior leadership team
- Ability to analyse data (customer and financial analytics) and conceptualise or identify potential business and operational improvement opportunities
- Ability to analyse and model end to end customer or business processes
- Minimum of 2 years of Business Analyst experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance or related field
- Ability to collaborate with various teams, ensuring quality of delivery
- Experience in customer onboarding/ KYC environment is advantageous
