Staff Smart Contract Engineer is critical to the mission of partnering with other DeFi projects and increasing access to our protocol. You will be responsible for the creation of financial products using Opyn protocol. You will work closely with the engineering and research teams to synthesize and communicate market needs to inform product strategy. You will also work closely with other DeFi teams to understand their needs, advise them on product development and support them to integrate with Opyn. As an early member, you’ll have a large stake in shaping the protocol and helping direct strategy and product execution. You will implement integrations with other protocols
In one year you’ll know you are successful if...

You have built integrations with at least 2 other protocols and increased our TVL by 1 billion $
You have helped us establish a cross chain strategy and started leading the implementation
You have collaboratively set the team goals, KPIs and metrics dashboard to track them

A background like this helps
Strong Computer Science background and fundamentals
Knowledge of financial products
Preferably options, structured products or derivatives
Knowledge and passion about crypto applications / Ethereum / Solana
Preferably DeFi
Preferably Solidity/EVM, we like rust/solana as well
Interested in L2 as well as other L1 chains
Passionate about collaborating with top DeFi teams
Develop growth plans using metrics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Has a growth mindset
Is excited to keep up with latest technical advancements in Ethereum development and can quickly learn how to work with services and tools even without previous experience
