They are not a support function, but rather a strategic unit that plays a leading and critical role in shaping the commercial agenda and value creation whilst maintaining the need for us to maintain legal adherence.

🧩 What you will be working on

• Developing and implementing a comprehensive regulatory compliance framework tailored to the virtual assets industry, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Staying abreast of changes in the regulatory landscape and assessing their impact on Ramp’s growth agenda and operation, providing timely updates and recommendations to the Management Team.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate new products, partnerships, services, and business initiatives for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Managing relationships with regulatory agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), and state regulatory authorities.
• Lead the preparation and submission of licensing applications, regulatory filings and other compliance-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conducting internal audits and assessments to identify areas of legal risk and implement remedial measures as needed.
• Providing legal counsel and support to various business functions on regulatory matters, including product development, marketing, and customer interactions.
• Collaborating with external legal counsel and consultants as necessary to address complex legal issues and regulatory challenges.
• Staying abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory developments to inform company strategy and decision-making.
• Educating and training employees on compliance legal matters, procedures, and regulatory requirements to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
• Draft and review commercial contracts such as partner and vendor agreements.
