About the Team

The World ID team is responsible for building and enabling the proof-of-personhood protocol and all the tools around it. The PoP protocol solves sybil attacks and human-uniqueness problems across web2 and web3. We further believe it can go well beyond proof-of-personhood. World ID is the only solution positioned to reach 1B+ scale with its unique cutting-edge technology.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join as the first full-stack engineer on the team. World ID is Worldcoin’s newest product and your efforts will significantly shape its trajectory.

• You will propose, architect and build real-world production-class applications of World ID (previous applications include our Lens integration and our Discord bot).
• You will work on a multitude of different and very varied open source projects including applications that use World ID, SDK tools, coding examples, our developer portal, docs, etc.
• You will work very closely with Design, Product, Crypto & Ecosystem teams to understand user and technical constraints and requirements.
• You will help other hackers all over the world build on top of World ID in hackathons, through grant programs, and partnerships. This will sometimes require travel.

About You

• 4+ years of experience building modern software applications, both frontend and backend.
• Experience with Node.js & React is ideal, but not required.
• You move very fast, continuously reprioritizing, with an MVP mindset.
• You are very energetic, independent and willing to roll up your sleeves.
• You have very strong written communication skills and can clearly express and defend your opinions.
• You are passionate about crypto, the identity space and privacy, and you’re continuously exploring new trends and technologies.
• Experience building web3 dapps and/or smart contracts is highly preferred.
• Strong user-focus and UX design skills, and basic design sense are ideal.
