About You

Galaxy Digital is currently looking for an ESG & Sustainability Intern during the summer of 2022! You'll work collaboratively across all corporate functions to establish, track progress, and report our performance, action plans, management approaches, policies, and ESG/Sustainability standard disclosures, reporting to the ESG & Sustainability Specialist. Intern will work on a variety of projects collaboratively and independently. The 10-week program starts on June 13 and ends on August 19.

On a given day at Galaxy, you will:

• Assist in the development of a sustainability reporting system to manage our progress across relevant ESG/Sustainability topics within the CSR and sustainability strategy.
• Assist in the evaluation and incorporation of sustainability reporting, benchmarks, KPIs, and goal frameworks like GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.
• Support the continued establishment and measurement of progress against formal ESG/sustainability goals.
• Help engage all relevant departments to identify accountabilities and repeatable processes that assure collection of, and a plan for expansion upon, important data needs based on reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and best practices.
• Support Galaxy Digital’s engagement with and submissions to the formal evaluations conducted by ESG research and ratings firms.
• Assist with the development and publication of Galaxy Digital’s Sustainability Reporting.
• Support with the submission of external surveys by engaging data providers, completing questions, and tracking survey deadlines.
• Collaborate with communications to develop sustainability-focused content for website, social media, and press releases.

You’ve worked hard for:

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or recently graduated from an undergraduate program
• Must have completed junior year of undergraduate
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills, including strong writing and the ability to create high-quality presentations and materials.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Comfort working in a high growth, constantly changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to succeed with limited supervision
• Must be able to work in-person in Galaxy Digital’s New York City office

You rock at:

• BS or MS in Sustainability, Environmental Engineering/Science/Policy, Climate Science, English/Writing or equivalent)
• GPA of 3.5 or above
• Strong writing skills
• Familiar with Cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin mining
• Familiar with relevant ESG/Sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, including GRI, SASB, TCFD, SDGs.
