Web3 AR/VR Prototyper

Parallel Studios is developing the next AAA sci-fi franchise and leveraging blockchain/nft tech to deploy our IP as nft's, games, comics, movies, & more! We are fast moving, innovative, & flexible in a way that has allowed us to grow rapidly into one of, if not the most well-regarded nft gaming companies in the world. We aim to continue breaking ground as we merge blockchain tech with traditional entertainment to create a new paradigm in which the users own parts of the digital worlds they grow to love.

The 3D & Immersive team at Parallel focuses on creating the most innovative virtual and mixed reality experiences. They are pioneering a new form of interactive entertainment and storytelling by leveraging years of combined experience in the tech, film and AAA videogame industries.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Work with a cross-functional team of experts on multiple disciplines: games, film, tech, software development.
• Prototype ideas and features to create amazing experiences within the Parallel Universe.
• Design great experiences. From short productions to fully scalable AAA quality projects, you’ll have the opportunity to be at the creative core of next-generation immersive projects.
• Explore platforms, tools and game engines (Unity, Unreal, Lens Studio, SparkAR, Reality Composer…) Identify and leverage unique opportunities to build delightful immersive experiences that help our brand expand across different mediums.
• Help build the most amazing and engaging AR/VR projects, and how these technologies converge into the Web3 / NFT / Metaverse space.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has industry experience building accessible, engaging and innovative prototypes that contribute to planning bigger, longer term projects.
• Has worked on immersive real time 3D applications, prototypes, and simulations in a variety of game engines and/or mixed reality platforms.
• Is passionate about working with technology constraints, thinks out of the box and is able to transform challenges into design opportunities.
• Is experienced or has a great interest and passion for the Web3 / Crypto / NFT / P2E space.
• Is a team player and can help us build an amazing culture.
• Has great passion and interest for AR/VR experiences and understanding of their specific design language requirements.
• Is fluent in trends & technologies across the spatial computing (AR/VR/MR/XR) space.
• Is an optimist, proactive, open-minded and has the desire to share knowledge and learn from others.
• Uses these tools:
  • Five years writing efficient and reusable code in an application programming language (Swift, C#, C++, etc).
  • One or more years with a systems programming language (C, C++, Objective-C, Rust, etc)
  • Software engineering skills beyond coding: source control, unit testing, debugging, documentation, continuous integration, and build systems.

• Nice to haves:
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Experience working with prototype hardware.
  • Experience and curiosity working with different technologies potentially relevant to expanding the Parallel IP (Photogrammetry, NFC, etc.)
