Web3 Associate (Remote CPA Student)

The role:

As an Associate, you’ll be an essential part ofthe team responsiblefor the preparation of compilation engagements and the related tax orinformation returns. You'll work directly with our clients to provide top-notch advisory service. Even though this sounds like a typical accounting role on the surface, I can promise you it's not. You're going to be a part of a team that is changing the way accounting services are delivered to Canadians. Getting your hands dirty when it comes to pricing, mentorship, and taking responsibility for the good and the bad will fast-track your career by years.

As an ideal candidate, you have the following skills/experience:

• You're enrolled or are planning to enrollin the CPA program
• You've completed a B-Comm or equivalent with a focus on accounting
• You enjoy working outside your comfort zone and challenging yourself to tackle new types of customers (e-commerce, crypto, VC funds) and engagements (technology consulting, higher-end tax work, etc).
• You're organized, deadline-driven, and work well independently
• Youwork well as part of a team
• You care deeply about providing clients a great experience
• You enjoy learning and trying out new software/technologies
• You can work effectively from home

You’ll be free to work within your own schedule - wherever, whenever - so long as the work gets done. Most of the team works a traditional 9-5 schedule, but if you need to take some time off for personal errands, just block it off on your calendar. With no in-office face-time and the responsibility of dealing directly with customers, we’re going to really need to trust you - which is why we’ve built-in adiligent interview and probation process.

Who you'll be working with:

Whether you're working with a high-profile startup that's just received a large round of venture capital funding or an independent consultant looking for personal financial advice, you'll certainly be working with some pretty fascinating people who are passionate about what they do. You'll be constantly faced with new challenges and diverse engagements as you learn to tailoryour approach to each customer individually all while working with some of the newest online technology.

You'll also be working with a pretty amazing team who really cares about what they do and who will drop whatever they're doing to help out a customer or a colleague.
