Web3 Database Reliability Engineer

At PINTU, We are building the #1 crypto investment platform to focus on new investors in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. We know that 99% of new investors are underserved because existing solutions cater to the 1% of pros and early adopters; hence, we built an app that helps them learn, invest and sell cryptocurrencies with one click away.

We’re looking for a Database Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering team, to maintain PINTU’s database reliability and performance aspects from our Site Reliability Engineering team.

In this role, you will:

• Work on database reliability and performance aspects for Pintu from within the SRE team, as well as work on shipping solutions with the product.
• Analyze solutions and implement best practices for our PostgreSQL database clusters and their components.
• Work on automation of database infrastructure and help engineering succeed by providing self-service tools.
• OnCall support on rotation with the SRE team.
• Provide database expertise to engineering teams (for example, through reviews of database migrations, queries, and performance optimizations).
• Support and debug database production issues across services and levels of the stack.
• Design, build and maintain core database infrastructure pieces that allow Pintu to scale to support hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
• Work on database monitoring and alerts to ensure we can catch issues sooner.

Who We Are Looking For

• Have at least four years of experience running PostgreSQL in large production environments.
  
• Have a solid understanding of SQL and PL/pgSQL.
  
• Have a solid understanding of the internals of PostgreSQL.
  
• Have 2+ years of Experience with AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.) and GCP database offerings.
• Have at least one year of experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform…).
• Docker/Kubernetes experience.
