What is Menyala?

Menyala is a venture builder founded by Temasek, a global investment firm headquartered in Singapore. We empower builders to drive technological shifts.

Our Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) program gives the world’s most talented founders and builders the opportunity to incubate breakthrough ideas that revolutionize entire industries at scale.

The EIR program brings together core venture building capabilities and technical teams to turn inspiring ideas into new ventures through deep research, early development, proof of concept and strategic business modeling. The EIR brings a wealth of zero-to-one startup experience and leads the project team’s journey from idea to project to new venture launch. Upon the launch of the new venture, the EIR becomes the Founder of the new company.

In this role you will

The EIR will work to transform ideas into viable businesses. Promising ideas will be moved to the execution stage where the EIR is expected to play a lead role. Menyala will provide resources including staff, capital, and proprietary technology to support the establishment of these ventures. In addition to creating proofs of concept to validate product market fit, the EIR serves as a catalyst for new initiatives by offering mentorship, driving team formation, and facilitating venture development.

The EIR will be expected to:

• Lead the generation and evaluation of ideas
• Transform concepts into viable business models through experimentation and iteration
• Provide tactical and strategic support including hypothesis testing, business model validation, partner engagement, talent recruiting, prototype development, and go-to-market planning
• Leverage their business experience and networks to drive business growth
• Mentor team members and encourage a culture of collective ownership

• Deep domain knowledge and a proven ability to lead and build ventures
• 0-1, 1-10 former CEO/ founding experience
• Idea-generators who are skilled in critical thinking, implementation, and communication
• Strong team building and teamwork capabilities
• The spirit of an entrepreneur and the ability to create an entrepreneurial environment
• Passion and energy for new ideas
