Web3 Events Programming Coordinator

CoinDesk is looking for a Coordinator (or Manager) of Events Programming to join its growing team. This individual will support the events programming team for Consensus 2023 (April 2023 in Austin) by maintaining the speaker database, managing speaker onboarding and relations, ensuring the marketing and events teams have all needed programming assets, updating speakers and agendas on the website and helping the team adhere to programming timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and update the Consensus 2023 speaker database with real time information
• Manage speaker onboarding develop outreach/standardized communications for milestones leading up to events
• Coordinate pre-event logistics including contracts, assets, travel and content prep calls for speakers
• Develop, edit, and input copy for speaker and agenda postings on the website; Maintain data integrity for internal database as a means of real time communication for all events stakeholders
• Assist in content ideation and development through original research and relationship development
• Ensure the marketing and events teams have all needed programming assets with strict adherence to CoinDesk brand guidelines and contractual obligations
• Be CoinDesk speaker ambassador for all inquiries leading up to event; Act as point person for on-site direction and hospitality needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Highly collaborative, superb organizational skills, effective communicator and tech savvy
• 2+ years experience in content creation or event programming
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and creatively problem solve under deadline and in a live-event environment
• Prior work or strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain a plus
• Comfortable with multiple technology and data management systems: event platforms, Airtable, Bizzabo, Excel etc
• Adaptability to meet the demands of a start-up culture with limited resources
