Web3 Freelance IT Professional

Heretic Ventures is a San Francisco-based venture studio ideating and launching new businesses in the creator economy, including those that capitalize on AI/ML technology. Heretic is run by Managing Partner Mariam Naficy, who founded and built the pioneering internet companies Minted and Eve.com. Heretic is backed by household names in Silicon Valley (investors and entrepreneurs), who act as the studio’s advisors both in selecting and in advising companies.

Heretic Ventures is looking for a freelance IT professional to provide ad hoc, on-site support to our office. Heretic Ventures is a venture studio, based in Presidio, SF, that builds ventures at the intersection of creator economy, culture, and commerce. 

The ideal candidate for this position is based in the Bay Area with strong communications skills and deep understanding of IT systems and applications. This person will be responsible for addressing technical issues and ensure smooth IT operations at the office. Compensation for this role is on an hourly basis. 

Responsibilities

• Identity IT hardware equipment and software tools needed by the office
• Set-up and configure office video conferencing system and wifi mesh systems. When there are new employees, set-up employee computers  
• Provide on-site support to troubleshoot any technical issues that arise 
• Manage and address IT tickets and needs from employees 

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field 
• Prior experience in an IT or similar role 
• Familiarity with common operating systems (Mac, Windows) and office software systems (Microsoft, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, etc.) 
• Willingness to travel to Presidio office location 
• Flexibility to respond to ad hoc IT requests
