Web3 Junior Accountant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing team in India. You will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and providing valuable insights to drive informed business decisions. As a junior member, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain exposure to various aspects of management accounting.

 

The Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including preparation, and posting of monthly accruals, fixed asset register management, and payroll journal posting. This role involves reconciliation of bank statements and balance sheet accounts, contributing to the preparation of management accounts, and assisting in the annual audit process. The Junior Accountant also participates in ad-hoc projects, demonstrating adaptability, and communicates effectively with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments. 
• Post monthly payroll journal accurately, reconciling payments and related balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and associated depreciation charges.
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts using NetSuite.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and update monthly schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial records, in accordance with R3 accounting standards and audit compliance.
• Assist with the annual audit process and monthly internal reviews.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including the wider finance team, department heads, and senior management.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (US GAAP desirable).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite is essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
