SupraOracles is hiring a Web3 Senior Database Administrator / Specialist

What we're looking for
We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator - Specialist, a go-getter, who is verypassionate about their areas of expertise, who is constantly striving to learn and improve, who will be responsible for managing a very complex decentralised globally distributed multi-cloud node network's persistent storage mechanisms while continually driving forward improvements, performance optimizations and automation. You will be involved in the planning, deployment and maintenance of our platform (testnet and mainnet), including important roles of troubleshooting node side issues, performance tuning, security and access controls.

Responsibilities
- Provide database administration and data integration in large corporate environment
- Plan, build, administer, tune and support Cassandra database and database cluster nodes
- Ensuring information/data security and data encryption, backup, recovery and replication.
- Develop, tune and optimize complex NoSQL schema structures
- Design, develop and support ETL workflows utilizing ETL processes and tools
Are you the right person for this role?
The ideal candidate for us has:
- Contributors to open-source projects will be given high consideration (share us your work in GitHub and mention the link in the resume)
- 3+ years of experience in database administration and data integration in large corporate environment
- 3+ years of NoSQL schema structures, Big Data product and information architecture, including Cassandra or similar high performance databases including building, planning, tuning, administer and supporting Cassandra database and database cluster nodes
- Deep understanding of Relational vs NoSQL distributed database architectures
- 3+ years of experience with information/data security and data encryption, backup, recovery and replication
- 5+ years in infrastructure design across a broad range of technologies (middleware, database, web, load balancers, firewalls, etc), most importantly Linux
- Experience in design, development and support of ETL workflows utilizing ETL processes and tools is an added advantage
- 5+ years experience providing production support of Big Data / NoSQL systems, operating system such as Linux, etc.
- Must be fluent in Linux commands, capable understanding RAID options, diagnosing network, I/O, memory, and CPU bottlenecks
- Experience with at least one of Python/Bash/Perl/Ruby scripting environments will be an added advantage
- Certification in Cassandra Administration/Development and or other high performance databases
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or a closely-related degree
- Pro-active communication and collaboration abilities with native-level proficiency in written and oral English

- Become familiar with our codebase and future goals of the product
- Participate in planning and feature development
- Write and review code to ensure that it’s understandable and aligns with the best coding practices set internally
