Ava Labs is hiring a Web3 Senior Distributed Protocol Engineer
Compensation: $11k - $75k estimated

This is a chance to work on an entirely new product built on a bleeding edge technology from the ground up. It's a chance to contribute to open source libraries that thousands of developers around the world are eager to incorporate into their smart contracts and Subnet Virtual Machines. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design, optimize, and implement novel cross-chain transfer and interoperability protocols
- Contribute to core technical projects of the Avalanche Bridge, from planning through release
- Play a major role in shaping the product, code architecture, and implementing major portions of the code
- Work with our talented product, business, and engineering teams to communicate and align on upcoming features and releases
- Engage with our open source community
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Rust programming exposure or willingness to pick it up quickly
- Golang experience
- 1+ yrs of hands on blockchain, consensus protocols, distributed systems or applied cryptography (professional OR independent)
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Experience with GitHub, git, GitHub Actions Continuous Integration
- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), TLS/gRPC networking basics, Docker
- Understanding of cryptography basics, distributed systems, computer systems security, static analysis, and linters
- Cryptography / multi party computation / threshold signatures experience is a plus
- Solidity/smart contract development experience is a plus
