Senior Engineer Web3

Our client enables the $2T telco market to move onto the blockchain, with an open, and efficient network for all. They are building a network that enables any party to become a provider of connectivity and financial services, bringing blockchain benefits to existing telcos but also opening the world up for new methods of providing connectivity - mesh networks, peer to peer, etc. - pushing the economic benefits back to the participants. Their goal is to build the last singular network for the planet, accessible to anyone and owned by everyone.

Position

Our client is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the design and development of Web3 technologies - blockchain, smart contracts, protocols, proofs, wallets, nodes, explorer, open source, distributed ledgers, cryptography, and more. The Senior Engineer - Web 3.0 will leverage their expertise in and passion for software development to implement scalable, performant, decentralized solutions on the blockchain. This is a great opportunity for you to interact directly with customers and influence definition and design from scratch.

In this role you will:

• Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design
• Evolve the technical direction of the service
• Deliver high-quality systems and features for customers
• Own the software development process end-to-end, including working with stakeholders to determine requirements and design, architect, plan, implement, test, and operate new systems and features
• Engage in and contribute to relevant open source projects
• Monitor project execution and ensure that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and with great quality

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience with Solidity or Rust including object-oriented design REQUIRED
• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems REQUIRED
• Masters degree in Computer Science PREFERRED; Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or related field REQUIRED
• Excellent Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software on time
• Experience designing and building highly-scaled distributed systems and web services
• Thorough understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, asynchronous architectures
• Experience working in an agile software development organization
• Experience working with blockchain frameworks such as Ethereum and Substrate
• Experience writing smart contracts for blockchain frameworks
• Experience in enterprise software or cloud services
