Web3 Senior Global Mobility Specialist

Location: Toronto, Canada

Ripple is growing and so is our People Team!  We’re looking for a Senior Global Mobility Specialist. 

You will directly impact how immigration and relocation services are delivered at Ripple and ensure an exceptional employee experience.  The position reports to the Manager, Global Mobility, who envisions this role as a strong partner and go-to person for all things mobility.  This role requires prior experience with high-growth tech companies scaling their domestic and international immigration programs. The ideal fit has a flexible attitude and will successfully balance excellence with a sense of urgency.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Help lead the vision and direction of a growing program in a constantly evolving landscape
  • Manage global mobility programs and services supporting employee assignments, and domestic or international relocation
  • Act as a subject matter expert supporting business needs related to complex US and non-US immigration matters through the corporate and employee immigration lifecycle
  • Own all aspects of immigration service delivery and compliance including gathering and completing required information and documentation for immigration status and employment authorization application processing. 
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers – act as a liaison with counsel, communicate case updates, answer questions, communicate relocation and immigration benefits. 
  • Serve as a point of contact with counsel, government agencies and third-party vendors providing immigration, relocation, and mobility support.  Provide vendor oversight.
  • Raise critical issues and exceptions with leadership and legal counsel.
  • Develop communications that educate team members and set expectations
  • Run all immigration audits as well as serving as the designated point of contact with local authorities on immigration matters for the company
  • Administer and maintain data integrity of HR systems, including Workday, to support relocation and immigration.
  • Be a trusted partner and collaborate with key distributed team members (Onboarding, Recruiting, HRBPs, Payroll) to ensure smooth and consistent processes.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 2+ years experience with global immigration is required. Experience with immigration in the UK, Singapore, UAE is preferred.
  • Depth and breadth of experience in Global Mobility in evolving and high growth environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with immigration-related systems. Experience in Workday, Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Confluence a plus!
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
