Mem Protocol is hiring a Web3 Senior Protocol Engineer
Compensation: $80k - $105k estimated
Location: San Francisco
About Mem We’re building infrastructure for the future of the internet.
Mem is a distributed, privacy-focused protocol to support the next generation of decentralized applications being built for web3.
With Mem, users hold the keys to their data and can take it wherever they wish. APIs are no longer pegged to specific versions and can update themselves. Information can be exchanged without compromising privacy. This is only a small subset of what is possible with the tools we're building.
The Role As a protocol engineer, you’ll be working on critical infrastructure. You will design and build prototypes for core system components before shipping and maintaining production versions. You’ll design APIs for communication between L1 blockchains and web apps, build consensus mechanisms, scale our infrastructure, and conduct performance and security analyses. You’ll also work with advanced cryptographic techniques to enable secure systems for ZK proofs, verifiable credentials, and data encryption. The systems you build will drive the next wave of innovation in web3.
Our stack Rust / Postgres / Docker
What you'll do - Work on our L1 chain development - Coordinate with backend engineers to efficiently bridge web2 to web3 - Coordinate with frontend engineers to implement wallets into our applications - Develop efficient algorithms to store data on-chain - Design and build distributed systems including storage and logic nodes - Coordinate deployment logistics across many nodes in multiple regions, ensuring consensus is not interrupted
