Our engineering team is focused on delivering robust, testable software that will allow us to scale our core business and growing user base.

As a senior engineer at Newton, you'll design, implement, and maintain the automation which powers our development pipelines and infrastructure.  You'll enable our teams to help them deliver robust software and reduce our software delivery cycle time. You will also help us reduce the impact of security and reliability incidents. 

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for:

-Designing and implementing tools which teams will use to create new services. -Developing automated, secure, and scalable continuous integration and delivery pipelines across all of our products. -Participating in feature development, offering teams architectural guidance and assistance. -Providing mentorship for junior engineers. -Being an outspoken advocate for DevOps culture. -Identifying bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and cost centres in the system. -Having adaptability in supporting multiple concurrent projects.

What we're looking for: -Significant experience in backend or full-stack software development. -Significant experience with microservice and/or cloud architecture. -Experience implementing automated unit and browser testing. -Experience with cloud-native and app monitoring systems like NewRelic, DataDog, or Prometheus. -Keen interest in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines. -Ready to be a part of a fast-paced startup environment. -A track record of proposing, designing, and implementing solutions.
