What is Polygon?

What does Polygon Miden Team do?
Miden VM is a core component of Polygon Miden, the upcoming STARK-based zk-rollup for Ethereum. Early prototype of the VM is available here. We are currently working on the next version of the VM, and our goal is to build the most developer-friendly, safe, and performant zero-knowledge virtual machine.
The Role
Job Description
We want to enable software developers using higher level languages like Move, Solidity or Sway to build on top of our proprietary Miden VM. Therefore, we need a Senior Compiler Engineer. The Senior Compiler Engineer is responsible for development and optimization of Miden proprietary compilers with respect to code hardening and security.
Key Duties
Lead design, and implement compilers from high-level languages to Miden assembly.
Provide feedback and inform design decisions of the Miden Virtual Machine.
Mentor junior compiler engineers on your team.
What you need to succeed:
- Experience working on compiler development and tooling such as Clang, LLVM, Fortran, GCC or others.
- Passion for improving compilers and developer tools.
- Provide technical guidance, software architectural review, and mentorship.
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.
Nice-to-haves
- Interested in zero knowledge proof-based blockchain systems and programming language design.
- Have some familiarity with writing smart contracts, especially using Solidity.
- Passionate about compiler technology, open-source software, and eager to learn, come and join us.
- You will get a chance to participate in innovative projects and work on cutting edge technologies that help to make the recent breakthrough in blockchain technology usable.
