Web3 Technical Program Manager, Firmware

About the Team:

The Hardware team at Worldcoin is responsible for all aspects of driving the engineering and manufacturing of world-class hardware devices reaching billions of people. We work cross-functionally with our industrial design, optics, software, growth, and finance teams to define product requirements and execute on development.

About the Opportunity:

This firmware TPM will support the hardware team in managing schedule and communications specifically in the realm of firmware development in harmony with the contract manufacturer’s hardware build schedule. In this role you will:

  • Drive and track the scoping, development, execution, and test of firmware run on core optical devices manufactured at Worldcoin
  • Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, material lead-times and business needs
  • Manage communication within, and between, internal engineering teams as well as external vendor and contract manufacturer teams
  • Work with teams to set milestones, communicate program status, and identify/address potential setbacks
  • Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering firmware deliverables, including specifications, design options, and test plans
  • Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review
  • Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success

About You:

  • Experience developing firmware for consumer IoT products
  • BS in Engineering field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience working as a firmware or software program manager for consumer electronics
  • Understanding of phase gate approach to hardware technology development projects
  • Experience with hardware component and module qualification, validation and characterization processes
  • Knowledge of program and issue tracking
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and projects
  • Experience in firmware for optics devices including calibration procedures
  • Experience in test engineering and test fixture development and tracking
