Web3 Technical Program Manager

About the Team:

The IoT Software team writes Orb software and firmware using Rust, C, and Python. Frequent collaborators include the Hardware (bring-up, manufacturing, adding new sensors, etc.), AI (neural networks controlling the autofocus, etc.), and Cloud teams. IoT Software team members are primarily located in Berlin and San Francisco, although some work remotely.

About the Opportunity:

In this role, you will support the Orb’s global rollout by overseeing its on-device software stack. You will introduce and prioritize features as well as allocating resources accordingly.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with software and hardware engineers and cross-functional partners across Worldcoin to research, discover, and deeply understand requirements for delivering value to internal stakeholders and Orb Operators worldwide.
  • Prioritize our rich feature backlog.
  • Create thorough functional specifications, project/release plans, and share them proactively with stakeholders throughout Worldcoin.
  • Set milestones, monitor program status, and identify issues/risks. Succinctly communicate issues to relevant stakeholders, proactively collaborating to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Manage communication within and between internal engineering teams.
  • Contribute to resource planning.

About You:

  • 3+ years of experience at a technology company in either product management or engineering
  • Experience working on hardware or hardware-related products
  • Enjoy solving hard problems and turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into action plans
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders in order to drive alignment within our organization
  • Ability to leverage data to make recommendations and inform and support critical decisions
  • Have strong English written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for the precise articulation of customer problems
  • Experience with hardware component and module qualification, validation and characterization processes
  • Experience in mobile device management/hardware terminals/IOT Devices is a plus
  • Experience with optical calibration procedures is a plus
