Choosing the Jamm team, you’ll join a team of expert engineers working on greenfield projects shaping the future of remote collaboration. You’ll be fully remote, but supported by the whole team. Your work will matter, impacting thousands of people every week. You’ll build tools with real utility, creating a user-centric, intuitive, and accessible product to make people’s lives easier. You’ll mostly work using JavaScript technologies like TypeScript and NodeJS, with the opportunity to learn WebRTC technologies at the core of real-time communications platforms.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, coach, and lead (by example). Remove bottlenecks, promote best practices, and empower each team member to take full technical ownership of their work
• Collaborate with the product team, using data to continuously improve our product performance and reliability
• Directly impact the solidity of our product. Work with backend engineers to deliver smooth integrations and powerful APIs, ensure code quality and performance diagnosing and fixing bugs
• Test features as you build them leveraging unit and automated testing

About You

• You have leadership or mentoring experience. You consider yourself a leader, and enjoy fostering the talent of those you’re lucky to work with
• You enjoy coding, especially with JavaScript technologies. You have a strong expertise in Node.js, and in at least one frontend framework (we use Vue, but React or Angular are perfectly fine too).
• You’re a strong communicator and understand how to communicate in a remote/asynchronous environment
• You have experience working as a full stack engineer on logic-heavy frontends and APIs too
• You are based in GMT -5 GMT-7
