Internship Description

We're hiring for a Venture Capital (VC) and Hybrid Startup Accelerator-Venture Studio Fall Associate (Intern). The start date for this position is in October or November 2023 (flexible) and the internship will last for 18 weeks with the opportunity to receive a return offer to continue in Spring 2024 or Summer 2024. The time commitment for this position is 10 hours per week. This position directly reports to a Founding Partner and Head of NextUp, LvlUp's Hybrid Venture Accelerator-Studio, at LvlUp Ventures. We will provide experience and training on segmenting companies for strategic partnership formation, startup analysis, and/or other fields related to VC. The internship will consist of the following tasks which are subject to change:

• Scheduling and attending calls with Startups who apply to LvlUp Ventures' Startup Studio-Accelerator Arm and are forwarded in the process.
• Assisting in ensuring effective operations of the division, including meeting scheduling between mentors and startups, the planning and execution of a Community Day (investor and entrepreneur event), startup communication on intensive start dates, etc.
• Create investment memos for startups who are being considered for the division.
• Assist in making decisions on accepting or declining startups for LvlUp's Startup Studio-Accelerator Arm.
• Participate in executing strategic initiatives like strategic partnership formation.

Basic Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Masters, or Ph.D degree in finance, statistics, economics, mathematics, business, computer science, information systems or related topics.
• Experience in conducting investment analysis, due diligence, and creating investment memos.
• Experience working in VC, PE, MBB, a startup, or technology or financial services company.
• Excellent verbal and writing communicator.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an early-stage VC Firm, accelerator, or venture studio.
• Knowledgable in operations of a business unit, preferably a startup accelerator and/or venture studio.
• Interested in keeping up with and researching the latest trends in technology.
