As the usage of cryptocurrency grows worldwide, it opens up new and exciting avenues for businesses and individuals to transact and create value. Stripe has always been bullish on crypto: We were early in supporting the crypto community and helped businesses accept Bitcoin in 2014. Stripe has always kept our eye on developments in crypto, and we’ve heard a growing need for better building blocks to accept payments, move funds, and exchange between fiat and crypto. We have launched a new Crypto team, and we are looking for an insightful and analytical individual to be a financial and strategic partner to its product leaders.

You will: - Partner closely with product leaders to drive successful outcomes for this product area, and facilitate collaboration with other product areas and functions as necessary - Leverage your financial background to support and influence key strategic and product decisions (e.g., clarify product opportunities with the team, determine the size of the addressable market by customer segment, and use that to inform your team’s prioritization and product roadmap) - Provide analytical rigor and bring strategic leadership to operational initiatives (e.g., help develop a pricing strategy for the group’s products and collaborate with cross-functional partners to roll this out) Lead strategic and financial planning processes for your team (e.g., monthly reviews, annual budget, long-range plan) - Develop and monitor critical success and business performance metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders - Drive in-depth analyses with thorough financial models, ensuring their quality, timeliness, and accuracy - Be your product team’s go-to financial and strategic partner for ad hoc analysis and relevant external initiatives (e.g., evaluate potential opportunities enabled by new technologies, support negotiations of new customer contracts or prospective partnerships)

We’re looking for someone who has: - 8+ years of relevant experience within strategy or strategic finance, ideally at a high-growth technology company; background in investment banking, management consulting, and/or venture/growth capital will also be considered - Demonstrated interest in crypto; knowledge or experience is a plus - A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners as a trusted and objective advisor - Extensive experience building detailed financial analysis used to drive business decisions - An enthusiastic “roll up your sleeves” mentality - A proven ability to be a self-starter capable of driving business results without significant supervision - Ability to bring structure to ambiguous strategic questions and thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving environment - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Experience with SQL or a willingness to learn is a must
