About the Role:
Tally Ho! is the first Web3 wallet that’s owned by its users. Designed to enrich the community, not corporate shareholders - Tally Ho! is a free, open-source Web3 wallet built and operated by the same people who use it.
We are looking for a senior TypeScript engineer who is passionate about user-owned open source products to work on a web3 wallet. As a crypto-curious engineer, you’ll be excited to apply blockchain and cryptocurrency solutions to unique and mainstream challenges in web3. As a senior engineer who has mastered frontend web technologies from accessible, standards-conformant React to IndexedDB and everything in between, you will collaborate with a team of engineers and designers with expertise spanning the end-to-end needs of the product. As a contributor to the technical architecture, you will partner with the cross-functional team to find innovative and practical solutions for design and product challenges.
You should be passionate about helping us develop a web3 wallet that meets both our exceptional community’s needs and its business goals. As a member of a remote team, you should have excellent written communication skills and be a self-starter.
Your direct employer will be Thesis*, the studio behind Fold, Keep Network (now Threshold Network), tBTC, Saddle, and Tally Ho. We’re a fun, down-to-earth, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and fully remote team.
What You’ll Do:
- Help support our cross-functional team by regularly sharing ideas on how to improve process and product
- Partner with the lead designers on UX design and the product roadmap
- Partner with the team to architect the Tally Ho extension, transactional system, 3rd party integrations, internal tools, and all other systems required for the operations of the product
- Streamline release procedures, including exploring opt-in post-release monitoring and automated rollbacks
- Expect to spend 75% of your time coding and 25% supporting and mentoring more junior engineers
Required Experience:
- You have 5+ years of experience engineering consumer-focused and/or enterprise-focused products across the full stack.
- You have experience with best practices for software architecture, ideally with some light distributed systems background
- You are confident and comfortable working collaboratively with product management and design
- You have the ability and empathy to mentor other developers to deliver great work; you value and cultivate open communication
Ideally, You’ll Have:
- 2+ years active in the crypto ecosystem, DeFi a plus
- Previous experience with e-commerce and/or payments products
- Knowledgeable and passionate about blockchain and cryptocurrency
- Participatory knowledge of the history of fair launch DeFi protocols - Yearn, SushiSwap, Harvest, Yam, etc.
