Web3 Accountant, Avalanche Foundation

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting and a passion for emerging technologies. The ideal candidate will bring experience in traditional accounting functions, proficiency in NetSuite, and a strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment while contributing to the growth of a cutting-edge organization. WHAT YOU WILL DO

Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor communications, and timely payment scheduling Maintain and reconcile prepaids and accruals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with month-end close processes Monitor and record deferred revenue transactions in accordance with IFRS standards Reconcile intercompany balances and collaborate across departments to resolve discrepancies Track and manage fixed assets and intangible assets, including calculating depreciation, amortization, and conducting impairment assessments Perform daily cash reconciliations to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions Utilize NetSuite to streamline accounting workflows, maintain accurate records, and generate financial reports Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance accounting policies and procedures related to cryptocurrency transactions Support ad hoc projects, process improvements, and other tasks as assigned by the finance team

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred 2+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within a fast-paced or high-growth environment Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative mindset High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines Demonstrated interest in and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment Must reside outside of the United States, ideally in the Cayman Islands (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands)

As requested by Avalanche on behalf of Avalanche Foundation Salary Range: $60,000 to $85,000 (*This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.)
