Web3 Accounts Payable Specialist

Compensation: $76k - $90k estimated

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for assisting in all areas related to the Accounts Payable process, including but not limited to: vendor onboarding, reconciling invoices to contracts/purchase orders, managing a weekly AP Aging report, entering invoices and issuing payments to vendors and managing relevant communications across channels. This position will have the opportunity to collaborate with every department across the organization and be a central point of contact to external vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor company spend on credit card management application by obtaining approvals, review GL coding, data import/reconciliation from expense management system to GL
  • Audit invoices received by vendors to purchase orders / contractual terms and obtain payment approval from company personnel
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are recorded on appropriate ledgers
  • Update relevant vendor information in NetSuite for running vendor analysis reports
  • Review Departmental Coding and provide department data to Financial Planning & Analysis Team
  • Enter and pay invoices on daily basis, including managing communications with vendors and stakeholders, to ensure accuracy of expenses recorded in Netsuite
  • Provide support during year end 1099 process to ensure IRS requirements are fulfilled
  • Support accounting management team with ad-hoc reports and requests
  • Other additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Finance or related major
  • 2-3+ years of accounts payable experience, ideally in a large corporate environment
  • Highly proficient using applications such as: Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, index/match), NetSuite Financials ERP, Gmail, and Credit Card Management (Expensify, Concur, etc.)
  • Fundamental understanding of GAAP principles: accruals, intercompany transactions
  • Self-starter, strong organizational skills, detail oriented
  • Intellectually curious, demonstrated ability to improve and implement processes to maximize efficiency
  • Ability to work in our Chicago office Monday-Friday
