About the position

Keyfactor is one of the world’s leading companies for Machine Identity, Certificate Lifecycle Management and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Solutions. We’re expanding rapidly and growing in terms of both revenue, number of customers and personnel. The company helps security teams manage cryptography as critical infrastructure by simplifying PKI, automating certificate lifecycle management, and enabling crypto-agility at scale. 

The Backend Developer position is the core role within the Software Development Group. Role incumbent is responsible for creation and maintenance of the majority of Signum’s product code bases. The goals of this role include:

  • Proficiency with the architecture of Keyfactor products
  • Knowledge growth of Public Key Infrastructure and certificate management as it relates to Keyfactor products
  • Foster collaboration within the Software Development Group

The position is based in our Barcelona office and applicants must hold a valid Right to Work in Spain.

 Responsibilities

  • Backend Software Development – Involves creation of new features as well as maintenance and refactoring of existing features within the product codebases
  • Basic architecture participation – Participate in design meetings to learn and provide input
  • Participation in Agile ceremonies – Participate in Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, and daily scrums
  • Team collaboration – Work closely with other team members to devise solutions to code and architectural challenges
  • Onboarding and mentoring – Participate in the onboarding and mentoring process of new employees and interns
  • Code reviews – Submit and participate in code reviews in order to ensure standards, and improve the overall team technical aptitude

Skills and Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Demonstrable professional experience in developing software applications as a team-member.
  • Organized and detail-oriented person with a passion for providing the team with great quality of work.
  • .NET Expertise: Solid knowledge in both .Net Framework and .Net Core.
  • Database Proficiency: Experience with SQLServer and EntityFramework.
  • API Development: Ability to develop robust REST API’s.
  • Programming Skills: Excellent programming abilities are always an asset.
  • Agile Methodology: Proficient in Agile practices for software development (SCRUM).
  • Version Control: Experience in version control using Git.
  • Language Skills: Good command of the English language.

Preferred Experience

  • Linux Development: Familiarity with Linux-based development.
  • Experience with responsive design
  • Experience with browser testing and debugging, as well as with cross-browser implementations.
  • Experience with PKI.
  • Experience in Android/IOS development.
  • Great coding skills.
  • University Engineering Degree in IT/ SW Engineering/ Computer Science or other relevant subject is a plus!

Compensation

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
