Blockchain Engineer

We’re looking for builder archetypes. You see where we are going and think here’s how we get there.

It requires a unique combination of creativity, pragmatism, and vision.

You’ll have to get comfortable with failing fast and learning from others without losing sight of the bigger picture. Avoid rat holes; pull others out of them. Never lose your moral center.

Oh and, it goes without saying. Be damn good at code. Walk the line between beautiful architecture and speed.

Quals:

• You’ve built something from scratch that you’re proud of
• Down with the startup life
• You pick up new tools and concepts fast, and enjoy doing so
• Not afraid to do things differently, you approach problems from new angles
• Positive energy throughout failure. There will plenty of failing to go around
• You strike that balance between asking for help and figuring it out yourself
• You excel in a team environment where everyone has different expertise
• When it comes down to it, you can put your head down and get it done solo
• Senior level software engineering skills (~5+ yrs.)
• Serious experience (~2-3 yrs.) developing decentralized protocols, and or apps, NFT experience is a bonus.
• A significant contributor to a decentralized product in market with a sizeable user base, bonus if it used a hybrid blockchain or a polyglot architecture integrating blockchain with other tech.
• Serious experience (~2-3 yrs.) in backend development
• Strong background in data
• Rock solid coding patterns, bonus if familiar with a slice architecture
• Deep understand of the underlying mechanics of blockchain, cryptography, and NFTs
• Understand the fundamentals of knowledge graphs, mobile, and cloud
• Strong Java background, Dart is a bonus

Responsibilities:

• Move our blockchain from prototype to production ready
• Scale to 1 billion transactions per day
• Security, privacy, reliability, and redundancy engineering
• Help define and iterate on our roadmap
• Listen and engage with users
• Invent, problem solve
